The Children's Surgical Home is privately owned by Dr. Bhattacharjee. The nine-bedded hospital is equipped with all facilities required for specialized surgical treatment of newborns, infants and children. It is conveniently located in the Ellisbridge area of Ahmedabad city.

Dr. Bhattacharjee possesses M.S. (General Surgery) and M.Ch. (Pediatric Surgery) degree, and has a vast experience (over 35 years) in the field of Pediatric and Neonatal Surgery. In the year 1973, when he completed M.Ch. degree, he was the lone Pediatric Surgeon of northeastern India which comprises of Assam and its neighboring states, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand. This has been noted and documented in the editorial of the Journal of Northeast chapter of Association of Pediatric Surgeons of India.
